Road Trip!

Ella and I took a road trip to Columbus today. We started off by meeting up with my former co worker and friend Kristen and baby Caitlin at Cosi for the baby museum. Ella played with the balls, blocks, ride on toys, and loved the water table. Next we were off to Easton mall to see Columbus zoo animals and have lunch with a few more of my former coworkers/friends. Last stop of the day was uncle Jordans (actually one of mommys best friends) house, where they were finally able to meet for the first time. Ella absolutely adored Jordan's dog Cross and spent most of her time playing with him. We got back to Cincinnati just when the storms were hitting and both mommy and baby are completely exhausted from a whirlwind afternoon. (however as im typing I still here Ella awake 1.5 hours past her bedtime, could be an interesting night!)

Party Time or should I say Potty Time!

So the picture is a bit blurry and Tom does not think its appropriate to share, but I couldnt resist. Our sitter is already getting Ella acclimated to the potty, which I think is wonderful. I also have to report that she has pooped on the potty twice! She is growing up so fast. Ella has begun to cruise around are furniture and is also able to walk w her push toy! I know that she will walking on her own in no time! She is also a little chatterbox these days. She has so many words and uses them with meaning! Some of her favorites are dog (which she calls every animal along with oof oof for woof woof), ball, Ella, duck, and book. There a ton im forgetting. My little baby is turning into a little toddler which brings a tear to my eye!

Zoo!

Tom was off work today and since the weather was so beautiful with low humidity, we decided to take our first family trip to the zoo! Ella was actually able to see and point at the animals and really enjoyed herself without a single moment of complaining.

I wanted to add a few other pictures from over the weekend. As you can see below we will not be able to leave Ella on the floor in our room while we get ready in the am. I get ready and leave and then Ella is home with Tom in the am while he gets ready for work. She has been rolling all over our room getting into things while were in the shower! This past week we have found her playing in the curtains (as seen below), I also have a jewelry chest on the floor that has small drawers and on two different occassions she has pulled out the bottom two drawers! We didnt even know she was able to do this and luckily the drawers are small and the bottom two do no contain items small enough to choke on! What a stinker!

Happy 10 months baby girl!

How time flies! Ella turned ten months old yesterday! Our neighborhood pool opened this weekend so Ella and I went for an hour yesterday and an hour today! She loves the water and loves watching all the kids. Daddy worked so hard all weekend putting up new gutters and did an amazing job!

The pictures below were taken tonight after bath while getting ready for bed. As soon as she sees the light on my phone come on (flash getting ready) she starts cracking up and smiling! You can see her three teeth inthis picture and Im pretty sure she is about to cut a fourth tooth. She has been chewing and sucking on her thumb lately. I really hope she is not going to become a thumb sucker and feel it has more to do with teething. She is saying more and more words each day, the most recent being ELLA. Yes, Ella, she says both syllables and says it perfectly. We have a smart baby on our hands! Also, when saying wheres your belly, now lifts her shirt and touches her belly! Miss smarty pants learned after grandma joyce showing her that literally a few times! She is able to stand on her own for a short amount of time and is even trying to take a few steps!

Autism Speaks Walk

Ella, Grandma Joyce, and I attended the Autism Speaks Walk in Cincinnati yesterday. Several thousand people showed up to rasie several hundred thousands of dollars for Autism research (not sure on the numbers yet). We walked with my team from work, The Kelly O Leary Center. I made Ella a ribbon out of puzzle piece, Autism Awareness ribbon. She LOVED seeing all the people and kept screaming in delight. That is until she got tired and bored of the situation and thankfully slept through the whole walk.
