Elk Creek Vineyard

We spent Saturday evening at the winery. We sampled wines and ate cheese, shrimp, sandwichs and salad from the cafe. The winery also had a man playing music out on the patio for the entire evening. Beautiful sunset and relaxing times.

The property was amazing with breathtaking views. The property has a clubhouse, winery, hunt club, lodge, and estate rooms situated on it. We stayed in the lodge which was absolutely gorgeous. Its pictured below on the hill. It had an chef's kitchen, living room, several bathrooms, five bedrooms with a bathroom within room (similar to bed and breakfast style), and a basement with pool table, bar, flat screen tv, and game table. Saturday night we had the entire lodge to ourselves. Sunday we shared it with a family of four.

Sunday afternoon we went hiking at General Butler State Park

Sunday night we ate dinner in the clubhouse. That evening we hung out at the cabin/lodge and played pool and sat out by the pond and played cards. We caught some fireworks in the distance and then were able to witness an amazing lightening storm in the distance.

Tom and I had such a relaxing time away. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting. Of course we were very excited to get back to Ella and from what I hear, grandma joyce taught her to swim with her floaties! I hear she can swim the big pool with no assistance!
